Playtimes at Neston Village Hall will make less of a mess in future, because the village pre-school has been given a new storage unit.

The wheeled cabinet will be used to keep the group’s play equipment, which has to be packed up every day, while others use the hall.

Parents and staff helped the children pack the unit’s boxes at the hall.

Tina Munford, joint play leader at the Neston playgroup, said: “It keeps all our equipment in one place, rather than being spread all over the hall.

“It was paid for through fundraising events all through the year. We had a casino night for the parents and a treasure hunt for the children over the holidays.

“We’re really glad to have this now, after a year-and-a-half of waiting.”
