An apothecary garden opens at Dorothy House’s outreach centre in Trowbridge today.

The garden, full of herbs and health-giving plants, was put together by the charity’s patients, under the guidance of occupational therapist Lucy Burley.

Medical company Nutricia, based in Newmarket Avenue, has supported funding for the project, at the centre on the Bryer Ash Business Park.

Dorothy House Hospice chief executive Liz Brown said: “I’m thrilled that Lucy and her team have created such an attractive entrance. It’s another example of staff, patients and supporters working brilliantly together.”

Mrs Brown, patients, MP Andrew Murrison and representatives of Nutricia are due at the opening at 11.30am.

The outreach centre hosts drop-in sessions for patients, as well as support workshops for their friends and family.
