Wiltshire Police is currently holding a day of action cracking down on anti-social behaviour across the region.
Operation Harness has seen an increased number of officers on the streets tackling rural crime and motoring issues.
While, there has also been drugs warrants carried out.
In Trowbridge, Angus Macpherson, Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire and Swindon, joined officers out on patrol.
He said: “Harness is about prevention and raising awareness as we might be publicising this work going on today but people need to realise this is what our officers do day in and day out.
"It is a pleasure to be out on the street and seeing the hard work they do to make our communities a safe place to live.”
Operation Harness has seen work carried out in Trowbridge, Chippenham, Warminster, Devizes, Amesbury, Pewsey and Swindon.
During the Trowbridge patrol, officers encountered graffiti on a recently painted wall under a bridge at Biss Meadows Country Park.
PC Helen Daveridge, community beat manger for Drynham and Grove, said: “Graffiti is something that really frustrates me as there is just no need for it and it is very disrespectful.
"In some instances, it could be considered art but not examples like these.”
PC Daveridge said that Police are working on finding those for responsible racist graffiti which has been scrawled on walls across Trowbridge.
