A Trowbridge man has been sent to prison for six months following two burglaries and two thefts in Trowbridge earlier this year.

Michael Haines, 25, previously of Bythesea Road, Trowbridge was sentenced at North West Wiltshire Magistrates' Court last Thursday.

He had been charged in connection with two burglaries, including one at a cafe near Paxcroft Mead on April 7 and a second at a business in Timbrell Street on July 23 where a laptop and desktop computer were taken.

He was also charged with two thefts, one of copper from an address in Seymour Road, on April 6, and another for the theft of an iPod Touch on May 10.
