Trowbridge mum finds the room to groom

Cog owners can now take their pets to a new grooming studio that has opened in Paxcroft Mead, Trowbridge.

Elizabeth Garratt converted the garage of her home to create Barking Beauties after her two sons left for university this year.

She is trained to groom dogs to Kennel Club City and Guilds standards and has become a member of the Pet Industry Federation and the Dog Groomers Association.

She said: “Barking Beauties is stocked with all the latest equipment for dog grooming. The Studio is fitted with a grooming table with a large surface area. The table is powered by electric and is height adjustable. It smoothly lowers to the floor so the dog can take itself on and off the table.”

Also installed is a deluxe bath with steps for easy access and a height-adjustable tray, so small dogs can be bathed more easily.

Dog owners can look at the facilities and make a booking by calling 07712 341098 or at Barkingbeautieswiltshire@gmail.com. For more, see www.

you can have as many cogs as you like, you don't need a cog licence and cogs don't deposit faeces all over the place or urinate on other people's hedges
