The Town Bridge at Bradford on Avon reopened to traffic today after concerted efforts from Wiltshire Council workers.
The bridge was closed to both pedestrians and motorists on Christmas Eve after severe flooding saw the River Avon reach dangerous levels.
Shops and other businesses were affected and the bridge was closed by ermergency services late on Christmas Eve.
Wiltshire Council brought in extra crews to deal with the county's flooding problems and workers spent Christmas Day and this morning clearing the Bradford bridge of debris.
Reopened to pedestrians first, it was today passed fit for vehicles to cross, although more wind and rain is predicted for tonight
