Emma Cooper has been appointed as new chief executive of Healthwatch Wiltshire.
She will start in her new position from the end of January bringing years of experience of working in the voluntary and community sector.
Ms Cooper said: “I am thrilled to be joining Healthwatch Wiltshire at this important stage in its development locally. A lot of excellent work has been done over the last six months to set up the organisation and raise awareness about its role.
“This year, will see Healthwatch Wiltshire make a real difference locally and one of our first priorities is to engage with people who want to get involved with our work as volunteers.”
Healthcare Wiltshire, who work to bring improved healthcare provision to the region, is holding volunteer recruitment days to raise the profile of the organisation.
The first event is taking place between 10am and noon at the Corn Exchange, Devizes, on Wednesday, January 29, another is being held between 1pm and 3pm on Tuesday, February 4 at Salisbury Methodist Church with a final one being held between 10am and noon at Chippenham Town Hall on Thursday, February 6.
