Takeaway plan for Melksham gift shop

Wiltshire Times: Wiltshire Council Wiltshire Council

A speculative application to open a hot food takeaway on Bath Road, Melksham, has been lodged with Wiltshire Council.

Letting agents CS Property has applied for permission to convert an empty former gift shop into a takeaway restaurant.

Proprietor Chris Stevens said: “Whether it goes ahead will depend on whether we can fill the empty unit.”

The application will be considered by Wiltshire Council’s planning committee. A decision is due in the coming months.
