A soldier based at Battlesbury Barracks, Warminster, has admitted a money laundering offence at Swindon Crown Court.
Lawrence Mendy pleaded guilty to possessing criminal property in August and September 2012.
The 45-year-old admitted acquiring credit transfers for mileage allowances that he wasn't entitled to and came from criminal activity.
Will Woodman, defending, said his client was due to undergo surgery later in the month and needed two weeks' recuperation.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Friday, June 13 so a pre-sentence report can be prepared and released him on bail until then.
