A 21-year-old who is accused of assaulting a man last summer is to face trial.
Benjamin Smith pleaded not guilty to a charge of causing grievous bodily harm when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Friday.
Smith, of Beverley Close, Melksham, is said to have committed the assault on Saturday, July 27, last year.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Tuesday, October 28, and released the defendant on bail until then.
