The 2014 Wiltshire Poppy Appeal will be launched on Monday, October 20 with a parachute jump from The Royal British Legion’s Jump4Heroes at Stonehenge.
The team will descend to the stones carrying a large poppy which will be presented to the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Sarah Troughton CstJ.
A pupil from Shrewton Primary School will read an extract from In Flanders Fields by John McCrae following the jump.
As well as the Lord Lieutenant, Royal British Legion trustee for the South West Lieutenant Colonel JF Falzon OSJ BEM and school children from Shrewton Primary School will be at the launch.
