WEST Wiltshire’s MP has urged communities to apply for funding to mark the centenary of the First World War.
Dr Andrew Murrison MP spoke at a House of Commons event hosted by TV historian Dan Snow, which showcased a handful of over 1,000 First World War projects taking place across the UK, including the Warminster Great War project, thanks to more than £60m from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Grants of between £3,000 to £10,000 are available during the next four years.
Dr Murrison said “People in Wiltshire should maximise the HLF so that awareness is more widely recognised. If they need any advice then I would be happy to help.”
