The father of teenage footballer Quinton Barham, who suffered a heart attack on a pitch two years ago, has welcomed the installation of a defibrillator at his son’s football club.
Quinton, 15, from Trowbridge, joined Holt Youth Football Club in the summer from Bradford Town Youth FC. He collapsed at an under 14s cup match in Bromham in February 2013 and a defibrillator and CPR were credited with saving his life.
His dad Paul, of Hyde Road, has since championed for the installation of defibrillators in football clubs throughout Wiltshire and on Sunday, Holt Youth FC unveiled theirs.
Mr Barham attended and said he was very happy to see it in the club and so was his son.
