Wiltshire Police are investigating an alleged attempted rape of a woman and a stabbing of a man at Cannings Hill Garage in Devizes on Saturday night.
Police were called at just before midnight to the garage following a report that someone had been stabbed in the neck.
The 46-year-old male victim was taken to Swindon's Great Western Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Local officers attended the scene along with eight officers in riot van that had been diverted from solstice operations. A knife has been recovered.
A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged with attempted rape, attempted wounding with intent and GBH with intent. He has been remanded in custody.
Both the garage and the Devizes Car Centre, which shares the site, did not want to comment.
