A 15-YEAR-OLD girl was arrested on suspicion of arson and two counts of assault after an incident in Sutton Veny.
Police were called to assist ambulance and fire crews at a property in Haycombe Hill just before 7.15pm on Sunday, January 17, following reports of a fire in a first floor bedroom of a detached house.
It was believed that at the time of a call, there were people still inside which resulted in five fire engines from Warminster, Westbury, Mere, Frome and Trowbridge, together with a water carrier from Wilton and an incident command vehicle from Devizes, attending.
On arrival, everyone was confirmed to be accounted for and firefighters tackled the blaze, which damaged the bedroom and caused smoke logging throughout the first floor.
Ventilation fans were used to clear the smoke, and the fire was out by 8.47pm.
The girl has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
