A SEVERE amount of criminal damage has been caused to a a school in Trowbridge after it was broken into – just one month on from a previous break-in.
Vandals forced entry into an outbuilding which is used as a staffroom at Holbrook Primary School over the bank holiday weekend before letting off fire extinguishers and throwing paint over carpets, walls and furniture. It is not yet known if anything was stolen.
Over the Easter holidays, the school in Holbrook Lane was broken into and the school’s beloved mascot, a teddy bear named Hugo, was stolen along with other valuable items.
A police spokesman said: “This behaviour is completely unacceptable, and will not be tolerated.
“Anybody who has any information that may assist Police in their investigation is being urged to come forward and contact police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
