A TEENAGER on a night out in Chippenham was left with a fractured ankle after a fight with bar staff on Saturday night.
The man, 19, was outside The Brunel Bar, in New Road, at around 11.40pm on December 16 when he became involved in the altercation being investigated by police.
As a result he fell to the floor and suffered a serious ankle injury.
He was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath by ambulance and later transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where surgery was performed on his ankle.
Wiltshire Police is now appealing for witnesses of the incident.
Detective constable Adam Fleetwood-Brown, from CID, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the New Road area around the time of the incident, or who may have witnessed the argument.
“The victim has suffered a particularly nasty injury to his ankle and we want to piece together exactly what happened in the lead up to this happening.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Fleetwood-Brown on 101. Alternatively information can be left anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
