A WARMINSTER fundraising enthusiast has been selected to go on a 13 day hike in Vietnam where she will help to build a school as part of a community project.
Ashley Moore, 35, was selected to go on the trip organised and funded by her employer Sodexo, in partnership with employability charity Springboard.
In March, Mrs Moore will be spending eight days trekking across the country and the final five days staying in Ham Yen, one of the poorest parts of Vietnam where she will be helping locals to build a school for the community.
Mrs Moore said: “I was a bit scared to put myself forward for this, but it is something I have always wanted to do but never had the guts to put myself out there, but you only live once and what a great way to help people that need it.
“It will be an adventure and a challenge but well worth it and very rewarding, and I have always made an effort to fundraise.”
To compensate for Sodexo paying for her trip, Mrs Moore is aiming to raise £3500 for Springboard. To donate, please visit www.mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/ashleymoore1
