POLICE arrested a young Melksham man for drink driving following a car crash in the town centre on Saturday morning.

At just before midday, officers were called to reports of a crash in High Street, Melksham.

The driver of one of the cars was asked to take a road side breath test, which he ultimately failed.

Ugnius Pazusys, 27, of Bath Road, was then arrested and has been charged with driving a car without a licence and driving a car with an alcohol level that was above the legal limit.

He has been bailed to attend Salisbury Magistrates Court on July 25.
