WILTSHIRE Council has announced that it will resurface roads in Westbury, Warminster and Melksham between July and October.

Section one of Copheap Lane in Warminster will be closed to traffic from August 19 until September 3.

Works will be carried out during the evening between 7pm and midnight.

In Westbury the council is planning to resurface Bratton Road starting at the end of July.

From July 30 to August 11 the road will be closed in the daytime between the hours of 7am and 6pm.

In October, the A365 Semington Bypass will be closed between 7pm and 6am. The works are due to being on October 8 and conclude on October 15.

A spokesman for the local authority said: “It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions.

“Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.”

Cabinet member for transport, Mark McClelland said: “We apologise in advance for any delays and inconvenience these works cause but hope that motorists and residents will understand that these works are necessary to continue maintaining our road network.”
