Love it or hate it, Britain’s Got Talent 2022 is back in full swing, as it returned to ITV on Saturday, 16 April at 8 pm.

It’s clear over the years, that Wiltshire has proved it’s got talent, so we can’t wait to see what will be in store for us in the current series.

You might remember the Warminster dance star who sparkled on stage back in 2010.

Tobias Mead grew up in South Street and dazzled judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden over a decade ago with his unnerving, robotic dance moves.

He starred in the hit ITV show’s series 4 final at the age of 22 where he said: “Ten people have got this chance. I want to be the person that comes out on top.

"It’s the most nerve-wracking feeling I’ve ever felt. I’ve got to do everything that I can to make it the best performance ever.”

He ended up coming in a very respectable 6th place, accounting for 6.9% of all votes after a performance that even promoted a standing ovation from Amanda Holden.

Simon Cowell said after his performance: “You did everything you should have done on the biggest night of your life.

"You turned it up a notch and made it current.”

So what is he doing now?

After Britain’s Got Talent, Tobias went on to form the dancing duo Duplic8 with prodigal performer Jak Tuite-Leach.

The pair were then named champions of Got To Dance 2014.

And together they also went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, describing it as; ‘one of the most memorable experiences for Duplic8.’

Twelve years later, Tobias has still been forging a career in doing what he loves.

He has worked with brands such as Rolls Royce Cars on their filming commercial, but also now works as a barber in London.

He has also shared with his Instagram followers about his aspiration to star in a role as ‘Magic Mike.’

In 2019, he stated: “One year ago I went to a Magic Mike audition, and it was such an amazing day!

“I didn’t get the job but I did learn a lot and have such an inspiring day. I’ve wanted no other job other than Magic Mike for the past year so each day I take steps into making that dream a reality.

“I’m becoming my better self and have gratitude towards life in general now.”
