Thousands of people enjoyed the "incredible Platinum Jubilee" at the Holy Trinity Church in Bradford-on-Avon, with a tea party over the bank holiday weekend.

The Bradford-on-Avon Town Council said on Facebook: "We want to say a massive thank you to all of the volunteers who made the entire program of events such a tremendous success.

"On top of that, we want to thank all the exhibitors, artists, musicians, caterers, and those people who worked behind the scenes.

"Over 1,200 people joined us at St Margaret’s Hall for the Bradford on Avon Preservation Trust sponsored Jubilee Exhibition.

"Visitors left many kind comments after taking a walk through the last 70 years of the town’s history."

Friday saw crowds descend on Victory Field.

President of the Bradford-on-Avon Lions Phil Courage said all pitches were sold out and queues to get in started from six in the morning, making the boot sale one of the biggest ever.

Phil added: "The Lions traditionally hold a boot sale in the Victory Field to complement the Fun day they hold each year. It been a real success and great to see people out enjoying themselves."

Stallholder Lucy Westcott said: ”We had dozens of requests for picnic baskets and similar items as people were shopping for street parties in celebration of the Jubilee."
