Bradford on Avon Town Council held its local proclamation ceremony in Westbury Garden this afternoon.
It was attended by the Mayor of Bradford on Avon, Cllr Katie Vigar, Deputy Mayor, Cllr Jennie Parker and Deputy Lieutenant, Amanda Burnside.
The Proclamation of Accession is the formal method of publicising the accession, sharing the news that the monarch has died and that the heir has acceded to the throne.
Such ceremonies have been throughout the country and the commonwealth.
