ONE of Wiltshire’s best-known local employers is opening its doors again this week to potential jobseekers.

apetito in Trowbridge is inviting job seekers to come and to find out more about permanent jobs, personal development, and career opportunities within its business.

The company is asking potential candidates to come in on two open days on Friday and Saturday, September 30 and October 1, from 9am to 1pm. Everyone is warmly welcomed.

Representatives from manufacturing and the human resources teams will welcome all potential candidates to its Canal Road site in Trowbridge and inviting them to come and have an informal chat about what they are looking for in their future career.

Production tours are being hosted on Friday, where candidates will be shown around the site and meet the wider team to enjoy a ‘through the looking glass’ experience at what a job with apetito would look like.

The company has won three Queens Award for Enterprise in the last few years supplying meals into the health and social care sectors and employs more than 1,800 people nationwide.

Chris Dawks, general manager, Manufacturing & Production Management for apetito, said everyone is welcome and it’s a great opportunity to come and see what’s on offer.

“We have plenty of jobs and can offer great flexibility too.  Our jobs are permanent roles – not a quick fix – alongside strong packages, which we believe to be some of the best in the business.

“Packages include an annual discretionary bonus of four per cent, 25 days paid holiday (plus Bank Holidays), staff shop, subsidised staff meals in the onsite canteen, life assurance and access to a Perks at Work Benefits platform, as well as a range of shift patterns to suit different family needs.

“We were one of the first businesses in the UK to become an accredited Living Wage employer, joining an elite group of FTSE 100 companies and public sector organisations, which have committed to the voluntary pay rate which is significantly higher than the mandatory National Living Wage.

“We have an amazing team here within the business who enjoy working together – we think enjoying your time at work is very important - and our ethos has been built on making a real difference within society, which is also very rewarding for our teams.”

Jobseekers should go to the Visitor Centre, apetito, Canal Road, Trowbridge, BA14 8RJ.  For more information on apetito, check out www.apetito.co.uk
