PICTURES have been released of the crash near Chippenham yesterday that led to one person being taken to hospital. 

Crews from Calne Fire Station shared the pictures on its Facebook page. 

They were called to the crash, on the A4 near to Derry Hill, along with crews from Chippenham Fire Station and South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and Wiltshire Police.

They said: "Two cars had been involved and the drivers were both trapped. Firefighters administered casualty care to both drivers until the arrival of the ambulance service. Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to release both drivers who were then left in the care of paramedics."

The police also confirmed that both drivers suffered reportedly minor injuries, although one was taken to GWH as a precaution.
