Hartham Park estate in Wiltshire sold to new owner

Hartham Park, a Grade II listed Georgian mansion house and 20 hectares of surrounding grounds just north of Corsham, had been on the market for offers in the region of £8,000,000.

The building is currently used as serviced office accommodation across 70 individual units but was previously a private family estate that hosted Winston Churchill.

Now the property has been snapped up by an investor who plans to continue the serviced office business.

In total, the site offers 67,763sq feet of accommodation in various buildings including the mansion house, coach house and stables, and modern office and reception building.

The building was marketed by property advisor Christie & Co and Strutt & Parker on behalf of joint administrators, Ben Wiles and Phil Dakin of Kroll Advisory Limited.

Oliver Custance-Baker, head of Parker & Strutt’s country house department, said the sale had secured the future of the estate as one of Wiltshire’s “most extensive country houses.”
