Wiltshire Police are now investigating after a child was struck by a car in Chippenham.
The county's force has also made a public appeal for information following the incident on Chamberlain Road on February 1.
It is understood that in the morning, at roughly 8.10am, a 16-year-old boy was knocked over on that road.
The driver of the vehicle did get out and check on the child’s welfare, however, but did not leave their personal details.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "If you can help, please call 101 and quote crime reference number 54240012916."
