A teenage boy today admitted a series of sexual assaults on two ten-year-olds in a bedroom.

The 14-year-old, who cannot be named, admitted seven counts of abusing the boys at a house in Wiltshire.

The defendant, who was 13 at the time, pleaded guilty at Swindon Crown Court to three charges of sexually abusing one boy, and four identical counts relating to the second.

The offences took place between January and May last year.

The counts state that the boy, from the Wootton Bassett area, engaged his victims in sex acts.

The offences took place in the bedroom of one of the boys.

Prosecutor James Newton-Price said: "The boys concerned are now aged 11 and their parents are both in the public gallery. Bearing in mind their ages and the seriousness of the charges, the crown has decided to accept those pleas.

"The crown make no concession as to the extent of the seriousness of the conduct alleged by both boys or the profound impact upon both of their families.

"We don't accept this is case of horseplay which might have gone a little further."

Sarah Regan, defending, asked for a full pre-sentence report before the teenager was dealt with.

Before leaving the court, a relative of one of the victims shouted: "All our lives are ruined."

Recorder Douglas Field agreed to the reports and bailed the boy to return to court for sentence on February 16.
