There was disappointment for Westbury as their fine run came to and end at the hands of a very proficient Calne team.

Half time came and Westbury's usually tight defence had already been breached four times, the first was an own goal as a punch clear form Adam Fisher went straight into team mate Sam Reeves and rebounded into the net.

The next two goals came as the result of really good defence splitting passes from the Calne midfield, leaving the attackers only needing a good finish.

The fourth came from a corner at which the Westbury defence could not seem to clear and Calne forced it home.

That being said the half time score was more a reflection of one team clinically taking their chances than a reflection of the balance of play.

The second half saw Westbury rejuvenated and a much more even game.

Westbury started to make chances down the left flank, and eventually got their reward with a goal.

A quick throw out from Adam Fisher, was flicked on by Jack Coxall to Jonny Tribick.

Jonny then played a fine ball across the area for Tom Batten, in space to latch onto and beat the keeper.

However, despite making chances Clane continued to threaten the Westbury goal; on 65 minutes they won a free kick some 25 yards out, this was well taken and hit the back of the net without requiring another touch.

For a couple of minutes then Westbury struggled to regain their organisation and Calne again took further advantage two minutes later. With the game now seemingly lost Westbury started to play once more and again put pressure on the Calne area.

Eventually following a couple of corners a Calne player handled in the area under pressure.

The resulting penalty was slotted home neatly by Tom Batten for his second of the game. This concluded the scoring, but not the chances.
