DISTRAUGHT animal lover Gill Hill has sent out an emotional appeal after her beloved pet sheep went missing.

The 47-year-old has put up posters of her year-old sheep Mr Chockson, offering a reward of £150 for anybody who has information that leads to his recovery.

Mrs Hill, of The Close, Gastard, said: “I hand-reared Mr Chockson from six weeks old. He was so tame he would come to me as soon as I shouted his name.

“The garden was not big enough for him to stay in and he followed our dogs around and ate dog biscuits instead of grass so I decided to move him to Elly Green in Neston.”

The sheep went missing from a field the week before Christmas and despite Mrs Hill asking around and putting up posters all over the village, nobody has come forward with any information.

“I don’t understand how he can just vanish,” she said. “I’m really worried about him.”

The sheep, who has a chocolate-coloured head and white body, was wearing a brown studded collar when he went missing. If anybody has seen him they should call Mrs Hill on 07909 850884.
