A west Wiltshire film-maker who has worked with the likes of Oasis has launched a new internet site for people to view his films.

Jamie McDine, 31, who now lives in West Ashton and is a former George Ward school pupil, launched Ivisualise so that all his award-winning films would be in one place for people to view free of charge.

Mr McDine, who grew up in Bradford on Avon and then moved to Semington with his family when he was nine years old, studied broadcast journalism at Falmouth University from 1996 to 1999, and it was from there that he started making his own films and forged a working relationship with former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown.

In 2002, he joined a team of diehard Ian Brown fans who worked with the singer’s management to promote him. It was then that Mr McDine met his idol and began working on ‘rockumentaries’, filming things like his live concerts.

He said: “By the time I was 23 I had already worked with Ian Brown who was one of my heroes. I met Noel Gallagher from Oasis when I was working with Ian Brown on Keep What You Got and I was backstage.

“Noel was backstage too and we got chatting and I filmed an interview with him after that. This was around the time I did a documentary on the World Cup called Three Lions, so I got him chatting about that and used him for some of that film also.”

As well as music videos, Mr McDine, who lives with his girlfriend, Jackie, 22, said he spent four years in Magdeburg, which is south of Berlin in Germany, making films.

He was commisioned by German television stations to make documentaries and it was only last year that he moved back to the UK.

He said among his favourite pieces of work is a documentary based around immigrants living in Magdeburg, and the problems they faced with racism.

He said: “As I was a foreigner in the area too, this is something I could relate too and something I really enjoyed doing.”

The website will show two new films a week and Mr McDine estimates he has about 50 films, with more in the pipeline, including a new project with Ian Brown.

He will also be showing a previosuly unseen interview with the singer Just Jack, which was filmed in London’s famous Jazz Cafe in 2003 and includes live performances from his debut album.
