Houses in Southwick were left without power last night after a car crashed into an electricity pole.
The car, which was being driven by a man in his 40s, hit the pole in Brokerswood Road, in Southwick at about 6.20pm.
Firefighters from Trowbridge were called to the scene and cordoned off the road before Scottish and Southern Electric engineers arrived.
A replacement pole was put up and the road was opened at about 11pm.
Great Western Ambulance attended the scene but the driver of the car did not need to be taken to hospital.
