TV presenter Jeff Brazier visited west Wiltshire to film two local mums for a forthcoming campaign on a children’s pre-school channel.

Brazier, 30, met Staverton mum Marina Fry and Warminster mum Emma Foyle, who were both winners in a competition run by satellite channel Cartoonito, after they told the channel what their favourite and least favourite things were about being a parent.

Their interviews with Brazier will feature on screen over the coming months as part of the channel’s ongoing celebration of parents.

Brazier started off his visit in Warminster at The Avenue Children’s Centre, where crews filmed Mrs Foyle and her son Christian.

Then in the afternoon, he went for a walk around Southwick Country Park while the camera crew filmed his interview with Mrs Fry, 39, of Maddocks Road in Staverton Marina, and her children India, three, and Sebastian, six, who took a shine to Brazier and played games with him.

Brazier has two children with the late Jade Goody, who shot to fame on the Big Brother reality TV show in 2002 and died from cervical cancer last year.

His son Freddy is now five, while Bobby is six.

He said: “My favourite thing about being a dad is seeing my children grow into good people and just having fun with them.

“On Saturday night we had five friends come over for a sleepover and we took all the cushions off the sofa and made a big den – that’s my idea of fun with them.

“The worst thing about being a dad is when something happens that you don’t quite have the answer for.

“You can’t be perfect as a parent and you’ve got to admit that and ask advice from experts sometimes.”

Mrs Fry said she applied for the competition with Cartoonito after son Sebastian, a pupil at Holt Primary School, saw it advertised on the channel’s website.

Mrs Fry said: “It’s been good fun, I’ve only ever been on television before when I was a child and singing in a choir. My favourite thing about being a mum is seeing how my efforts to bring the kids up to be decent citizens pays off. The worst thing is the late nights.”

Emma, 25, who lives in Brook Street, Warminster, with fiance Jim Hiscock and two-yearold son Christian, said the best thing about being a mum was all the fun things, such as swimming and trips to the park, and the worst part was never having a tidy house. She said: “We had so much fun meeting Jeff Brazier. They came along to our stay and play session at The Avenue Children’s Centre so it was a nice surprise for all the other mums there.”
