A COUNCILLOR who was at the centre of a bizarre mail dispute with her neighbours has resigned from Westbury Town Council.
Christine Sheppard informed the council she would be stepping down from her position on Wednesday. In September she was accused by her neighbours of writing a letter to a sex-toy company in order for pornographic leaflets to be sent to their home.
She denies the accusations. Her husband David said the decision to resign had nothing to do with the dispute.
