Farmer's son Matthew Radbourne is using his university break to organise a music festival to support our Help for Heroes Appeal on August 7.
Mr Radbourne, 24, of Abbottswood Farm, Bromham, is four years into a seven-year architecture course at Leeds.
He said: “I wanted something that would bring lots of people together and where everyone can enjoy themselves.”
He thought he would a get a few bands to come and play at his parents’ farm and get his friends to pay to see them. The event has snowballed into a full scale festival he is calling Farmfest.
“Suddenly I had 10 bands and then three djs and it got to the stage where I realised this was the challenge I was looking for,” he explained.
He is now up to his eyes in organsisation but says it is worth the effort.
The music will start at 2pm, and tickets cost £20 and include overnight camping. The action will be spread across three stages. Info, tickets and the confirmed band line-up is on www.farm-festival.com. Some of the proceeds will go to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
