Bradford on Avon Lions Club presented a cheque for £1,750 to the Times’ Help for Heroes appeal at its meeting on Wednesday.
The sum was raised by more than 6,000 visitors who attended the club’s fun day at Victory Fields in May.
A further £1,750 collected at the event went towards the club’s charitable trust, to be used for other charitable and community projects during the year.
President Judith Hersee said: “We are delighted to have raised so much money.”
The presentation was also attended by ex-president Keith Yates, and Pam Jordan, wife of the late David Jordan, who had been keen supporting the charity.
