THE bunting is up and the stage is set for this year's Westbury Street Fair and concert.

The biennial event will be held tomorrow and will see a host of entertainment from swing boats, pony rides and face painting to a balloon race and an art exhibition celebrating Beautiful Westbury.

It has been organised by the town council and the Westbury Lions and will take place in the Market Place, Maristow Street and Soisy Gardens. Town mayor Pamela Cox-Maidment, who is also chairman of the street fair working group, said: "It's always very well supported and raises a lot of money for local Lion's charities."

In the evening there will be a concert on stage in the Market Place, including performances from local rock band Cause for Concern, DJ Mark Barns and folk singer Ray Bradfield. The day's events kick off at 10am and are due to finish at 4.45pm with the evening concert starting at 6pm and finishing at midnight.

The Market Place, Maristow Street and part of Edward Street will be closed from midnight tonight until 2am Sunday.
