NEARLY 300 entered this year's Trowbridge in Bloom art competition, with schoolchildren showing particular enthusiasm.
Youngsters from John of Gaunt School and Walwayne Court, Margaret Stancomb and Grove primary schools featured among the winners.
First in the up to seven years category was Tameka Burke, from Walwayne Court, with Imogen Loftus, of John of Gaunt, winning the 11-13 years category and schoolmate Naomi Scott winning the 14-17 years section. Georgia Brewer won the eight-10 years category and in the adult category Sheila O'Reilly triumphed.
There were 23 different classes for commercial and residential gardens, from best hanging basket to best school floral display, with business winners including the newly-opened Hope Nature Centre, HB Pitt, The Old Manor Hotel and St Augustine's Catholic College.
