A WARMINSTER woman is celebrating after winning new windows worth £5,000 for her home.

Sue Holton, of West Street, won first prize in a competition run by the Wiltshire Times and New Windows. Entrants had to collect tokens in the Wiltshire Times, Chippenham News and the Wiltshire Star and answer a simple question.

Twelve finalists were invited to a final evening, held at New Windows, on the Woodcock Industrial Estate, Warminster, on Thursday.

Finalists had to select envelopes at random to reach the second round, with only nine going through. Those shortlisted then had to choose an envelope from a chest of drawers, each being either pink, orange or yellow.

New Windows managing director Jackie Ridout picked a coloured ball at random and those with matching coloured envelopes opened them up to see what they had won.

Mrs Holton was unable to attend the event, so sent along her son instead. The second prize of products and fittings worth £3,000 went to Claire Jay, of Clarendon Avenue, Trowbridge.

Third prize of £2,000 worth of products and fittings, went to Carol Honey, of Nursery Close, Atworth.
