GLAMOUR and style were the passwords of the evening as students stepped out to celebrate the end of term.

Sixth form pupils from Matravers School in Westbury held their summer ball at Cumberwell Park Golf Club, Bradford on Avon, on Wednesday last week. The students sang their hearts out to numerous songs and socialised with teachers and all their friends.

Kye Collier, 17, from Dilton Marsh said: "The party was buzzing. Everyone got along really well." Jason Boobyer, 18, a sixth form student at Matravers said: "I couldn't have imagined it to be any better."

Some of the students arrived in a truly fashionable way by making an entrance in limousines. Others arrived at the event in one of two coaches provided to escort them there and back.

There was a great turnout at the event, which was open to all Year 12 and 13 students, many of whom will be returning to the school to carry on their studies in September.
