I AM currently relaxing in sunny Cornwall after three days (well two and a bit actually) of excellent minor counties cricket at Camborne.
Once again Wiltshire performed very well and were unlucky not to get their second win of the championship. I know one or two of the lads left the field on Tuesday very disappointed with some of the umpiring decisions, but to be fair the two umpires gave nothing all match.
Just like it did in Abergavenny three weeks ago, the rain played a big part. It's frustrating because we could be talking about three wins from three, which would represent Wiltshire's best ever start in the competition.
I know it's a cliche but the three-day game is about taking each session as it comes. Of the 27 sessions we have played so far we have won nearly all of them, which is very encouraging.
In two weeks we play Oxfordshire, who are bottom of the Western Division table. But they beat us in the knockout trophy so this should be a fascinating game between two very strong sides.
