FORMER Bluebird James Constable scored a hat-trick in 17 minutes for Walsall in a pre-season friendly against Halesowen Town last night.
Constable, who joined the Saddlers for £4,000 in November, was named man-of-the-match in a convincing 4-0 victory.
The striker opened his account with a headed goal after 59 minutes following a dreadful error from Halesowen goalkeeper Dean Coleman.
Constable added a second eight minutes later when he collected Scott Dan's through ball and fired home a terrific half-volley.
The former Chippenham star completed the scoring in the 76th minute with a simple-tap in from Tony Bedeau's cross.
Constable and the full Walsall team will visit Hardenhuish Park early in the new season to play a friendly against the Bluebirds.
