Captain Sylvia Booth and the ladies of Kingsdown Golf Club present a cheque for £3,878 to West Wilts Help for Heroes co-ordinator David Bartholemew
A golf tournament has helped to raise £4,000 for Help for Heroes.
Kingsdown Golf Club this week handed over the proceeds of National Golf Club Challenge tournament, which was held on July 24. The top 10 men’s and ladies’ scores went through to a national contest.
The day, organised by Ladies Captain 2010 Sylvia Booth, who chose the charity to benefit, included a whole raft of activities including a rock ‘n’ roll disco, a pig roast, raffle and and an auction of golf memorabilia.
