A man aged 41 has been accused of attacking three 13-year-old schoolgirls with a piece of wood.
Marek Stanis, of Innox Road, Trowbridge, was arrested on July 18 and later charged with three counts of assault.
He was also charged with one count of possessing an offensive weapon. Stanis appeared before Chippenham magistrates on August 4 and denied all the charges.
The court heard how Stanis was alleged to have tried to scare the girls away by waving the stick.
One was said to have been pushed from the pavement and into the road while the other two were elbowed out of the way.
He will reappear at Chippenham Magistrates’ Court on September 29, so the case can be committed to Swindon Crown Court.
He was ordered not to contact any of the three girls in the meantime.
