FUN-loving fundraisers are bringing a beach party to a Melksham bar in a bid to collect hundreds of pounds for charity.
The Tavern in Market Place is organising a fancy dress night and raffle for August 28.
The evening’s beach party theme will see staff dressed in colourful Bermuda shorts or bikinis serving cocktails. The pub will be decorated with nets and inflatable palms. Prizes will go to the best-dressed staff and customers, while a raffle will include pool cues, perfume, teddy bears, wine and spirits.
Money raised will be donated to children’s charity Barnardo’s. Tavern manager Claire Turley said: “Our fancy dress nights are always very popular, but we’re hoping this will be one of the best yet.
“We’d like to see lots of customers in their brightest Bermuda shirts and shorts, while the bravest may be happy in just their swimwear; it probably depends on the weather.”
To offer a raffle prize, call The Tavern on 01225 709932.
