A DROP-in centre in Trow- bridge that is home to two charities helping some of Wiltshire’s most vulnerable people was burgled at the weekend — for the second time in a month.
The Wiltshire Addiction Support Project and homeless charity Alabere lost £100 in petty cash after the break-in at the Duke Street centre on Saturday night. They also face a repair bill of several hundred pounds.
A support group meeting for 12 and a lunch drop-in session for 20 had to be cancelled on Monday.
Andrew Davidson, user and carer co-ordinator for Wiltshire, said: “It’s such a low thing to do. Our money is hard-earned and we try to make it go a long way. We’re here to help people who are struggling.”
Last month a substantial amount of cash was stolen from the offices in a similar burglary.
