Longleat has bought a second von Eseen hotel following the purchase of Bishopstroe House in Warminster a few weeks ago.

Homewood Park Hotel and Spa, a 21-bed country house hotel set in 10 acres on the outskirts of Bath has been sold to Longleat by Christie + Co on behalf of von Essen group administrators.

Homewood Park Hotel and Spa has a nationally-renowned restaurant, award-winning gardens and extensive views over Limpley Stoke valley, so is ideally located for the Warminster-based attraction firm.

Chris Day, managing director of Christie + Co said: “Homewood Park Hotel and Spa is another fine example of an historic country house hotel acquired by Longleat, and is an ideal companion to Bishopstrow House.”

Longleat bought the 32-bedroom Bishopstrow House for a rumoured £5m and plans to invest £1m in refurbishing it.
