A big surprise was in store for visitors to Lacock Abbey when hundreds of teddy bears took part in a zip wire spectacular on Tuesday.
Around 800 people attended the picnic and zip wire event which took place in the abbey’s Botanic Garden.
Rachael Holtom, visitor experience officer, said: “It was a great day which welcomed hundreds of teddy bears and their owners to the abbey. The highlight of the day had to be our first ever zip wire event for the teddy bears.”
During the event, which run from 11am-2pm, children enjoyed performances by a circus jester and workshops run by children’s charity the Wiltshire Scrapstore.
The charity, based in Bowden Hill, in Lacock, has been running a series of workshops during the summer holidays.
