Students and staff celebrated the best GCSE results ever recorded at Clarendon College this morning.

The College had more than 50 per cent of students achieving at least five GCSEs at A* - C grades with English and maths and almost two-thirds of the year group achieving at least five A* - C GCSE qualifications.

Headteacher Mark Stenton said: “These are tremendous results for the school and demonstrate the rise and rise of Clarendon through the tremendous hard work of our staff and students.

"I am immensely proud of our young people who have put in so much to achieve these results. It will be great to have these students back in our 6th Form and part of the new academy next term.

"After the best ever A Level results last week, it is wonderful to be able to say the same about our GCSEs and, most importantly, know that our students are achieving the success they deserve. It is hard to single anyone out as so many have achieved outstanding results.”
