Football fans Owen Coles and William Rowe had a night to remember when they were chosen as player escorts for Wales’ friendly against Bosnia.
The pair won a McDonald’s Kickstart website competition to be one of the mascots at Lanelli last Wednesday.
Owen, 11, of North Bradley, who will be starting at Clarendon College in September, walked out with Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen.
William, nine, of Hilperton, a pupil at Staverton Primary School, led out Swansea full-back Neil Taylor.
Owen, said: “The whole experience was just amazing. I can’t wait to tell all my friends about it, I will never forget tonight.”
William’s mum Lisa said: “I can’t quite put into words how happy William was when he found out that he had won. On the day, he couldn’t stop talking about what he had done.”
“William was always crazy about football but meeting the players has motivated him further.”
